Sometimes musicians get special privileges from equipment companies. In the What Do You Do? section of our October 2016 issue, Bev Fowler (pictured above), Director of Artist Relations at PRS Guitars, talked about working with players who’ve officially agreed to use her company’s instruments and no one else’s. In exchange for that agreement, the musicians receive various types of support from PRS, including deep discounts on new instruments. This is what’s known in the industry as an endorsement deal. Some of you may be saying to yourselves at this point, “Sounds great, how can I get one of those deals?” Well, it just so happens that Bev has written an informative article on the PRS website answering this very question.
